Dave and Julie

I'm visiting Dave and Julie, who are working at a software company in a big, old, white building that looks like a small school. (It's got interior balconies and a big courtyard.) I've apparently spent the night at their house and I'm at their work, and I'm kind of anxious because I left my pants at their house, with my wallet, keys, and other essentials. After some time being anxious, they show up with Dave's sister Janet and all my belongings. What a relief!

Grandpa Al

I'm at home, which is a big, airy house with a small upstairs loft. I'm upstairs in the loft with Scott Wilbur, feeling horribly depressed. Barb's downstairs cooking supper, and my Grandpa Al (who lives with us) comes in in overalls and a baseball hat. He says he's heard from his brother for the first time in years, and they went out to throw the old baseball around. This is amazing to me, since all he's done for years is sleep, smoke cigarettes, and come out to watch TV. The phone rings, and Scott answers, and he makes arrangements to meet some friends for dinner. I feel really left out, which makes me even more depressed. I go downstairs, where I find Barb is actually cooking dinner with my mom and sister and various Phoenix family members. If it's possible, this worsens my mood. I think, why, of all nights, does she decide to have the family over for dinner tonight?
